Flip-O-Rama is a method of animation used in every Captain Underpants novel, its spinoffs, and Ricky Ricotta’s Mighty Robot. Most of the times, George and Harold introduce the Flip-O-Ramas, however on some occasions, other people would host the Flip-O-Ramas due to the plot of the story.
How it works[]
Step 1: Place your left hand on the dotted lines where it says "left hand here". Hold the book flat.
Step 2: Grasp the right hand page with your right thumb and index finger.
Step 3: Now quickly flip the right hand page back and forth until the pictures appear to be animated. For extra fun, don't forget to add your own sound effects.
Trivia[]
- In Captain Underpants and the Big, Bad Battle of the Bionic Booger Boy - Part 2: The Revenge of the Ridiculous Robo-Boogers, instead of saying "Don't forget to add your own sound effects!" on the left page, it says "For extra fun, try humming a stupid song and flip to the beat!".
- In the audiobooks, it is called Sound-O-Rama.
- In PDFs and eBooks, it is called Flip-E-Rama.
- The Flip-O-Rama chapters are also known as "The Extremely Graphic Violence Chapter". or in the Ricky Ricotta books Book 1-2, "The Final Battle", and in books 3-9, The Big Battle.
- The original Flip-O-Rama only appears in the first episode of The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants; it was replaced by other O-Ramas in the following episodes.
- However, in The Hazardous Hysteria of the Hangry Hypnosinger, Burger-Flip-O-Rama shows something being flipped, only it's burgers instead of pages.
- The original Flip-O-Rama was called "Flip-Actions".
- In the Portuguese versions of the books, it is called "Vire-O-Game", which translates to "turn the game".
