Cut that racket!
  —Ms. Hurd [src]

Ms. Hurd was the art/music teacher at Jerome Horwitz Elementary School. She first appeared in "The Dreadful Debacle of DJ Drowsy Drawers."

She was often called Droopy Drawers by Mr. Krupp, as her pants were constantly falling down. Her name is a pun on the word "misheard".

History[]

The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants[]

At some point in her life, she believed she heard werewolves throwing up, so she hid in her basement for three days. Ms. Hurd survived there by eating her own eyelashes and toenail clippings.

In "The Dreadful Debacle of DJ Drowsy Drawers", Ms. Hurd is chosen as the school dance's DJ, much to George and Harold's dismay. George and Harold later trick her into staying home by scaring her with the werewolves and throw up sounds from The My Hammy Sound Machine. Now free to be DJs for the school dance, the boys go to their treehouse and put on electronic robot helmets.

Eventually, the batteries in the sound machine run out, and Ms. Hurd bolts out of her house. On her way to the school, however, she is caught in a collision between an ice cream truck and a toxic cafeteria food truck. The fallout from the crash transforms her into DJ Drowsy Drawers.

After a battle with Captain Underpants and the boys, she reverts to normal.

The Xtreme Xploits of the Xplosive Xmas[]

It is revealed she died at some point prior to the events of the special but lived on as a ghost. She directed the Christmas Pageant the last year, but her ghost retired.

Alter Egos[]

  • DJ Drowsy Drawers: A villainous disk jockey who puts everyone to sleep with boring music. Crashing the annual school dance party, she was defeated by George and Harold in Melvin's music mech and Captain Underpants starting a dance party.
  • Ms. Hurd's Ghost: Her ghost version after she died.

Trivia[]

  • Her appearance is very similar to Professor Poopypants.
