The Bizarre Blitzkrieg of the Bothersome Butt-erflies is the seventh episode of season 2 of The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants.
Synopsis[]
Melvin's attempts at destroying fun at recess lead to George and Harold making a bad retaliation that ends up with the school swarmed by mega-mouthed insects. And to make things worse, the walls are attracting the monsters. Their composition is blocking out calls for help, and everyone else has left them at the Butt-erflies' mercy! Will Captain Underpants save the day once more?
Summary[]
Melvin Sneedly is mad at everyone because they were roleplaying an apocalypse-like movie, so he built a YouChoose 2000 to make Crocobats, but his mom, Cindy Sneedly asked him for meatloaf, so Melvin uses the meatloaf for food for the Crocobats. Benjamin Krupp sees Melvinborg in the closet made up like a spaceship. He tells him that the monsters made by Melvinborg's past self will attack soon. George Beard and Harold Hutchins use the Time Toad 2000 to send the Crocobats to a past timeline with meatloaf, so as payback, they create Butt-erflies with their nemesis' invention, but Melvin tells them that they could be dangerous, but they ignore him, which makes their own creations attack.
Meanwhile, Krupp and Melvinborg are trapped in the closet and an angry mob is mad at Melvin for the Crocobats. The angry mob kicks George, Harold, and Melvin out the room, and the former two turn Krupp into Captain Underpants to defeat them. After a butt against butt battle, they learn the only solution is wall mixed with meatloaf, so they use the Time Toad to send them 20 years into the future, where Melvin(borg) becomes a cyborg. Finally, the Crocobats bring Other Sophie back home.
Trivia[]
- This is the only episode where Mr. Krupp and Melvinborg get along.
- This episode reveals the reason why Melvin became half-cyborg 20 years later and why the Crocobats exist.
- Other Sophie returns after being stranded in the jungle for five episodes, starting at The Frantic Fury of the Fearsome Furculees. However, she did make an error appearance in The Preposterous Pulverizing of the Pestering Poopacabra in place of the tree sloth.
- Even though it looks like Other Sophie is putting a deflater in the backpack in The Dastardly Deed of the Devious Diddlysaurus, it is actually Diddly.
- Moral: Accept responsibility for your actions.
- This is the third episode where Captain Underpants doesn't turn back into Mr. Krupp at the end.
- It is never revealed what happened to the tree sloth.
- George and Harold were wearing cardboard as apocalypse-army costumes for the entire episode, and they don't mention them or take them off.
